EVERYTHING that a resistor box does can be done with a remap - its as simple as that becuase all they do is alter the signal being sent by the ECU - therefore we can alter that signal the same.

If you have no alternative, as in the case of the Gent in Chile, then yes great, but dont pay £470 for something that can be done properly for a lot less!

Actually - can you get flights to Chile for £470......

What you dont seem to understand is that these style boxes have had a lot of bad press in the past and a lot of people are still put off. They could well have improved a lot since then but i honestly cant see why you would want to go for that when a re-map would be at least as good.

I paid £260 for my re-map and you are looking at £420 for the box. Thats a difference of £160 and you said you paid £150 on ebay so in theory if the guy who sold you his had just had a re-map he would be a tenner up, lol.
