Matty,a tip,if the pothole that you caught is still there,photograph it,with something (like a cig packet) to show its depth width etc,send letter to the local authority responsible highways dept,with phto's of your damaged alloy,explain you can't replace it due to them being superceded by newer model,the local auth is duty bound to pay for a new set for you with tyres,its their responsibility to make sure the roads are in a fit condition,I have claimed a set in exactly the same circumstances,rochdale council footed the bill for a whole new set,
