ok mine gp is going in for the third time tomoz for noisy rear brakes they have already re-greased them and fitted new pad, so what can they do now the noise is now worse than ever am not happy what do i say to them tommorow, apart from how had can it be to stop brakes making a noise!!!

just go in and be as awkward as possible, say you want some discount off of something or want something free cos of the time you have had to waste by coming here. as for what they can do to stop it, i have no idea. have they changed the discs too??

Which will probably get you nowhere.....do you ask dentist for discount when you have to return for a filling??

There are damper kits now available & silver grease should be used, this will cure it.

Why do people always assume they are automaticaly entitled to something from a dealer when they have to suffer the slightest inconvenience.
A guy was supposed to call today to read my electricty meter, he never showed up, maybe I should demand a reduction from Utd Utillities from next quarters electricty bill???

I know......I think it's ridiculous.....the level of expectation is way too high.
I think some people are so spoilt, they have such an appalling attitude.

That is todays society i'm afraid!
blame the U.S for the balls up (n)

How many miles have you done in the car? have you given them a chance to bed in? some do sqeel but once they have done a few miles they are fine. Patience is a virtue though i guess

its not just the slightest inconvenience... the person in question has been back numerous times for the same problem and it is still not sorted!!! if the dealership was more competant and actually sorted it oout in the first place then it would provide a better service and people would be alot happier and have more respect and good words for the dealership!!!

if i was going to the dentist for a filling then that would be fine, but if they filled it and then it didn't work and had to go back then of course i would complain!! it's only normal to imo, not exactly gonna be very fooking happy about it am i?!

if the electric board was coming to read my meter then i would make sure i was in, if they didn't turn up all day then i would re-arrange a visit and if they didn't turn up the seconds time and i had wasted another day then i wouldn't be very happy either, so i would complain. they complain about you not being in... why the fook shouldn't we complain about them?

and superboy, i don't have an appauling attitude at all thankyou very much, if i have just paid 12k for a car (which i have!) and something goes wrong then i expect it sorting!! especially after numerous visits to the garage to get it sorted!!! yeah i accept that things go wrong, but when they can't fix it, then it is an unacceptable service in my honest opinion, they would be sending me letters and court orders if i took delivery then cancelled my direct debit to them, so why not give them some stick when they can't fix the car? if they don't have a solution to these problems then they shouldn't sell faulty goods end of!

Firstly, I sympathise with deod182 - I feel for you brother! I can feel your frustrations because I too am going through some strife myself. Having said that, bear in mind that companies have no obligation to compensate their customers for any problems/losses etc unless they're bind by some kind of fore-agreed terms & conditions. Unfortunately this also applies to cars. Some dealers are kind enough to give their unhappy customers something back (e.g. free service, car wash etc etc) because they at least have some sort of CRM skills or policies in place. Other dealers will simply scoff at your request for compensation, so be prepared for that ;)

here here, sounds like a good idea

well it is now at the garage i did not moan or complain i just stated that i was not happy and wanted it sorted and the dealer understood i then asked him what they were going to do to which he replied 'not really sure worse you say oh dear'. I must admit am not feeling to confident of it being resolved 2day we let you all know when they phone me up later.

so it is expectable to have to take my car back 3 times so thats 6 trips just for brakes silly me what was i moaning about

mmmmm.......I do see what you mean.....and you do have a point.
I do sympathise with you.....I have the same problem with mine.
I'm gonna leave it b4 putting it in, (it's booked for this monday, but I'm gonna call and cancel it), because I want to absolutley be sure that there is a
known "fix" for it.....so that I don't have to take it back again.
This is one of the 'down sides' with a new model......obviously it is vital to relay what T14086 has told all of us, to the garage......There is also a new part number: 77364393 which is for Brake Pads and Shim kit.
I did and the dealership were not aware of it and have gone to check it out with Fiat (UK).

Right......so it is going in on Monday.....they've said that this part number is now a known fix for the noise problem alomg with the silver grease and that it will def work.

Ive had the same problem but the dealer insists it is the front brakes not the rear ones even though the noise is coming from the back what should i do since the they have ordered new front pads

personally i would refer them to this site and in particular this thread then see what their reply is. how can they possibly think its the front ones?

who knows its been in a few times for a fault with the blue and me all they do is reset the fault code and nothing else

cheers for your replies guys still aint heard from them so must be doing somthing will tell them what T said about the silver grease after i hear what they have done

Try a different dealer.... I feel sorry for those who have such problems with that local Fiat dealers as the Windows Heswall Dealer which is my local dealer on the Wirral are superb and have always offered an excellent service and always "do" what they say and I am yet to have a bad service in 4 years of owning Fiats.

Just wish all dealers where the same at finding and fixing problems!
