Does anyone know if the hatch of a GP is double skinned? Reason I ask is because I have a minor dent on the hatch and apparently paintless dent removal would not work on double skinned areas..

Not sure where you are Kev but we use speciaist dent removal guys here,I have seen a GP tailgate with a one foot circular dent get pushed out no problem, think it was around £60. (quite clever the way they do it aswell)

Dave the mod gave me a few pointers for AU dent removers (e.g. Dentmaster & Dent Devils). The last question down the bottom of http://www.dentmaster.com.au/index.php?categoryid=11 is what's worrying me, hence my original question of this post.

Sorry I don't have a camera with me so can't include a photo, but the dent I have is about 10cm in diameter, sits at around 4 o'clock of the Fiat badge (about 10cm away) and is extremely shallow (when I run my hand over it I can't even feel it).

I guess its best to get one of these PDR guys to take a look at it and see how much it'll be if its fixable. £60 is a bit steep though, as I was told by a Fiat dealer it should be under AUD100 (£40)?

How on earth did that happen Kev? If it were me, I wouldn't be able to sleep until it was gone :)

I don't know :( Was looking at the car one day and noticed the reflection was a bit crooked (you know when you look at any car on a nice sunny day it reflects the surroundings?); that's when I realised it was dented. Doesn't look like it was hit by a car, but more like someone punched/kicked it. Its not quite noticeable unless you look carefully, but its definitely hurting me inside!! But then again, realistically, as soon as its leaves the safety and comfort of the home garage, then its wide open to pretty much anything you can think of..

Lucky you`re not in West Yorkshire UK, we have people running over the cars. I mean leap onto the bonnet, walk over the roof and slide down the tailgate.
I saw it happen once, made a noise like an oil drum being bent in and out, amazingly just `very` slight denting to the panels despite them going in considerably under the weight.
You had to really look hard to see it and I bet the owner was unaware for months.

I know I'm being cynical, but perhaps these thugs were hired to damage people's cars in order to generate business? I've heard from people that those who run anti vrius software companies are either hackers themselves or work closely with them..

(No offence to anyone ok? Its just a thought!)

No, sadly you are way out, its `normal` street life at night......... In particular friday night when a group of lads are on their way home from the city tanked up with the booze.

You people will live in West Yorkshire! :p
move to the true Yorkshire where people are nice and friendly and chew grass..... Good old North yorkshire! hehe

Hey Kev, that sounds a bit steep for the dent removal, i would say go into your dealers and ask them who they use and get it done with them, our guys are a lot cheaper than that, also thru a dealer it would be done pretty much at trade price.... ;)

That's why I said I was being cynical. For the sake of us consumers I sure hope I'm wrong.

Yeh man just like Baldwin street (I didn't have the guts to go up there in the Previa - scared it would backflip and roll down the hill!). Thanks for the pointer - I'll email a few other PDR people to get a better idea of the market price. And I'll mention it to my dealer - almost time for the GP to go in for 'another look' at the Dualogic juddering.
