Does anyone know if the hatch of a GP is double skinned? Reason I ask is because I have a minor dent on the hatch and apparently paintless dent removal would not work on double skinned areas..
Its double skinned. Its Fiat's contribution to the environment - you can store rain water in it. See here:-

As are most cars....I fail to see your point
The clue was in the word store .
The thread quoted shows that the GP hatchback lid does not let all the rain water pass through it
Time perhaps too to add this fault to the growing list of known faults in the stickies? I've not counted - but i suspect there's more than 5 people reporting it in the thread that i quoted.
Is it a fault? or poor design or is it ment to do this? Why not contact Fiat Italy and ask them, they designed the car.
"Seems more than a few peole have complained of this.....hopefully there will be some good news to report soon on a permanent fix for this, watch this space
(fault added to 'known faults 'sticky' link)"
Msut have forgot to add it
Not sure where you are Kev but we use speciaist dent removal guys here,I have seen a GP tailgate with a one foot circular dent get pushed out no problem, think it was around £60. (quite clever the way they do it aswell)
£60 was for one foot dent though (30cm) & it was very deep!
No I didn't.......re-read my last post!
Many Alfas are know for chucking water onto the driver as they get out of the car from water sitting in seal, poor design or fault?
As there (as yet) been no news on this,or a fix or even if thats the way it is then it will not go into the known faults sticky just yet.One other reason is that it maybe due to excessive water getting into tailgate (as reported by some GP owners here) and if so the fault lies there not in its 'ability' to retain water.Until then we are not 100% sure.
