insurance question

Hi there.

I hit a fox the other week and have damaged my car. Not too bad, but I am going through my insurance to get it fixed. Anyway, my insurance company have given me the name of a garage, but its not a Fiat bodyshop (if there is one). How does this stand with regards to my warranty?

You are not obliged to use their own body shop, but they would prefer you to do so. the insurance company will give you an excuse to the effect that the work is guaranteed but you have no guarantee that the garage will still be there in 5 years time.

You can insist that the car is taken to a Fiat bodyshop - if there are any!, even BMW use independant body shops now

Re: insurance question

But if you do not go through the dealer you will lose you paint and body warrenty. Phone the insurance company and tell them you want to us a Fiat approved bodyshop. The one they use maybe Fiat approved, it may not, you need to check.
