I have had new car for a 4 days now and over the last 2 i have had a warning light come on (3 times) and the message saying hill hold failure please consult your manual. The manual say contact fiat has anyone else had this proplem if so was it easy to sort.

Also a less so inportant one when i plug my mp3 player in i can only skip to the next track manualy if i just let it play it will repeat the same track over and over again. my player does not do this when i listen to it outside my car. I can not find a repeat option anywhere on the car anyone got any ideas.
Apart from that am well pleased with it!!!!!

I had the same problem with the hillholder, abs and eba at the same time. It only happened once so far in 2 months so i'm going to let it slide for now, if it happens again i will mention it. But seen as though it has happens twice in 4 days  i'd bring it up with your dealer as there is obviously something not right!

For the track problem, if you press the windows key and say something like "repeat off" then that should solve it. I was trying to figure it out for ages as well.

yeah will give them a ring 2moz get it down there. just tried the saying repeat off out in the cold never mind it says "no message" um not really what i asked it any other ideas ?

Your holding the windows key down for too long.:p it needs a quick press then 'Voice' should be shown on the radio, then say "repeat off". Done the same as well. lol

brill thanks for that heard the magic words repeat off cheers

phoned fiat this morning this is a reported problem for which thiere is a software update that they can install on it, the system is cluch and brake sensitve to so if you are feathering the cluch while driving this could set it off will keep an i on that if it does it again it will be straight down there. 10 day wait to be seen thou !!!

The only problem i have had with my GP sporting 1.4 is it ain't got to me yet. But it has now arrived at the garage compund, and can go get it sunday. Just hope i don't get any problems.

you will love it it is amazing to drive apart from my small problem i am having well pleased with it bet you can not wait till sunday !

You'll be fine - Mine was made mid october - no probs at all.
It seems that nearly all the major complaints are from the guys who bought cars early on in the launch.
I've been lucky enough to have had some really expensive cars in my time and I can honestly say that I think this Punto sporting is the car I like the most.....!

I haven't got an MP3 to use with the Blue and Me so am a bit miffed that the CD player on my Sporting GP hasn't got the repeat track and shuffle/mix mode like my previous car (Active Sport) had. Apart from that, I've had the car nearly 2 weeks and it's lovely.

Thanks sooo much Kip02.....started using it today and had the same problem....must be set up that way by Microsoft....and Fiat's instructions aren't the best in the world - you saved half an hour of frustration and a telephone call!
