Technical Noise while accelerating

Well its developed recently and it happens when I accelerate from 1st into second and a little bit in 3rd and its like a groaning creaking noise from the front of the car. Can anyone shed light onto what it might be perhaps steering rack problem?.

could be air intake on the left side of engine not connected right had the same problem all good now :slayer:

Maybe you're driving a bit harder and what you're hearing is the wastegate. It 'chiffles' quite loudly and rapidly.

Chris - Did they check out the bar at the bottom of the engine bay - sounds like the problem i had (see previous thread).

Not yet haven't got round to checking it into the dealers. I'd doubt it was the wastegate tbh its a VGT which means it changes the angle of the turbine to drop boost as required and the wastegate is only really used when you close the throttle completely.

There is a chance it could be the muffler bearing it seems the right type of noise. I'll book it in today.

I hade the same thing twice! first time it was only when you accelerate hard and it was something to do with the exhaust tilting back and scraping a metal bar under the car. But the second time was when you accelerated at any pace and that turned out to be something in the air filter which was pulled out and it ran ok but still required a new filter. This is on my GP 1.4 16v sporting so it may be different in your car but just letting you know what happened with mine!:yum:
