pretty nice, + yeah need to hide the actual neon itself.

was thinking of doing this myself, but with replacing the grill with a mesh. how hard was it to install?

+ as for the boys in blue, it is illegal as far as i know, blue more than other colours for some reason *shrug*

They pull you for stupid stuff so having blue lights on your car a very big no from them, used to know a guy who drove a polo, metallic blue paint, colour coded alloys, it was a right lax power motor but had blue lenses on tail lights and he got done for impersonating a police car. How exactly does it look like a police car?? They aren't forgiving on this kinda thing so just go careful

yeah there big on head/tail lights too >.< only way you could really impersonate them is if you had the siren + flashing lights on your roof ;D

it wasn't too bad installing it, my friend knows about electronics so we went out and bought some wire n switches etc, the biggest problem was getting the wires through that rubber seal that seperates the engine bay from the inside of the car :bang: but we managed it. the only problem is, i can't get the big plastic grip type thing that held the rubber bit to the car back on, so now theres a big gap :(

thanks for your help, ill try moving them, i dunno where to put them tho coz the sticky things ive got aren't strong enough for it too hang down. maybe i could just put something infront of the bulb to reflect it upwards or somethin

If the light is on while your driving and a Plod sees you, chances are you will be told to turn it off.

The polices argument is that if a person, who is not too bright, is in front of you and sees blue in there rear view mirror then pulls over and hits somthing thinking your a police car. then thats your fault and you would if you stayed around be prossacuted for impersonating a police officer.

Nearly the same as if you have a big sausage and you point it at someone through your clothing and they think its a big gun then you can be done for firearms offences.

god i love our legal system.

Must be pretty dumb to think a car with non-flashing neons on the front grill, not on the roof, is a police car. But saying that there's plenty of dumb people around

Your Very right there however if you do have blue LEDs on your car or Neons at the front and someone gets a glimpse at night and your ragging it. the lights will flash due to bumps in the road just like if your walking with a tourch. it looks to the distance like a flasshing light. its not but it looks that way.

Un-Marked Police cars dont have lights on there roof just a flashing strobe hidden behind the front grill and lights on the back parcel shelf with a mirror that pops up when there on. and there normally the top of the range chav cars.

i see your point falcon. The thing that distracts me more is people who drive with their fog lights on, i know loads of people do it but sometimes when a car is behind you with them on its so flippin bright. Much more distractin than a soft blue light. But the police don't care about that!

Speaking of which, what's this stupid trend to put side lights on in combo with fogs?? :shakehead

They do.. Its illegal to drive with your fogs on when it ain't foggy. I've had words from a copper about it, before anyone says anything it was foggy the night before and i forgot to turn them off in the morning.

lol. im starting to wish i hadn't put the lights on, seems more trouble than its worth! apparently u can get fined for havin ur fogs on, so my friend says. but he says alot...

yeah my friends been fined for having his fog lights on when its not foggy, i think it was about £50
