in my experience, the price can vary. I think with most modern cars, you are charged a fixed time, as in 2.5 hours to do a minor service, and this time is dictated by the manufacturer.
The differences come in the rate per hour of the garage concerned.
It can pay to shop around.

I think this is correct, but correct me if i'm wrong.

I spoke to my mate yesterday about supergard, (he's a sales manager) and he's going to give me a pack. I'll tell you what its like.
His dealership retails it for £175

Thanks - I'd really appreciate that.

supaguard is just paint sealant (easy to do yourself and available cheaply anywhere, autoglym is better) fabric protection (just buy scotchguard instead, its better) dashboard shine (again buy it cheaply anywhere, they're all the same) leather care (also available everywhere cheaply and just as good) keyfinder (make your own reward keyring with a tel number of a relative NOT your number) and securiy etching that is standard on almost all post 2000 cars, even my bravo has it and thats a 98.

if you dont believe me check out the website
http://www.supagard.co.uk/products.htm

you could buy the stuff you need yourself for less than £40, its VERY easy to do (one sunday and your done), and you'd be able to use the stuff you buy more than once so its "buy one get a few free".

the only person who'd pay £250 for it is stupidly rich and unbelievably lazy. thats the most expensive valet money can buy. and an independant valet service would be much cheaper and just as good if you really are that lazy.

as always, dealer prices are a total rip off and the customer service is worse than elsewhere. you'd have to be mad
