has any body had any electric problems with the grande i came out the shops th eother day and got into the grande turned ignition on car started up but all the light s wer flashing airbag the lot no rev counter speedo or anything i had to take it to fiat to get them to reset the computer first time ive had problems with the grande and ive had mines since march one of the first ones built

Yes there have been one or two people with the problem
I had it the day I collected the car!, software glitch they told me.
apparently removing the battery earth lead and putting it back on can cure the prob if you are in the middle of nowhere

Did the lights do this?
And did your stereo do this?
If so it appears to be quite common and is a very easy fix. as said ealier disconnect earth lead from battery. If that doesn't work take to dealer they fixed mine within 30mins.

yeah mine did that, and also kept saying air-bag failure. did yours say that too or is this a genuine problem?
indicators didnt work either, but went and started the car again a few mins ago and its as if nothing happend...
but can anyone reassure me that the air-bag failure is displayed on this glitch or if it needs to get checked.

I had this on Saturday. I'd been in to have a loose mirror glass on the passenger side replaced. The tech also checked the drivers side and said there was a lead not connected to the mirror. After a few hours I had the "Airbag Failure".
After I got to my parents house I wiggled the battery leads to see if they were disconnected and tried the car again. Hey presto, problem gone.
Do I need to take it to the dealer?

Had mine in today for the same fault - they are going to replace the body computer
