Even though I've only just got it, anybody know if it's possible to retrofit a cruise control to the 1.9 Sporting? Mine was a car from stock so couldn't order car with one fitted.

Thanks for the steer to previous discussions. My reason for asking in a new thread, however, is that I'd prefer to retrofit the manufacturers parts if it is possible. Many Stilos were "pre-disposed" to cruise control, i.e. the wiring loom and electronics were in place but Fiat dont fit the neccesary switches. I'm kinda hoping that the GP is the same, it would make sense if you're a manufacturer. Speaking as an electronics engineer, a few switches and connectors cost peanuts compared to the aftermarket cruise control. Even the Alfa switch stalk which, supposedly, is the same as the Stilo stalk, is only about £35. A bit cheaper than the aftermarket kit I think you'll agree. I did undo my steering wheel pod (pains me to take a new car to bits after one day) but couldn't see a free connector although I couldn't get the top half off because I was afraid of breaking plastic bits ! Maybe someone out there knows how the factory fitted one operates ??
