How childish.......how do you know how much I earn anyway? How do you know how hard I work?

rob19791 its best you don't start having an argument on here with T as he is one of the most helpful contributors to this forum.

I'm sure even after all of this if you stop this personal back & forth messaging with him he will still give you more help when needed over this steering rack problem.

.....if my car was great i wouldnt be on here would i???

That quote sums it up for me, it tells me that you are here to moan about your car, while most other folks are here because of their interest in Fiat and the enjoyment gained from being part of the community this forum brings.

By all means tell us your problems, keep us informed of your progress and feel free to listen (or not) to the advice that people give. We are all interested in the outcome of your problem, but ffs stop turning threads into "Rob moans again".....please.

Thanks Hornet :) ...if I can help anyone I will even if I have/am having a argument with them,if we all agreed life would be boring.Sometimes a argument makes you sees things differently or at least makes you stop & think?
Personally I feel 'rob1979' is putting people off puntos (fiats) which is unfair.I have had issues with other subjects before & make a posting for advice but I dont go on & on about it.Is what is being said being used as 'leverage'? What started off with..."got my new car & looking for spoiler & wheels" soon deteriorates into "this car is a pile of shi*e" when things went wrong.Huge numbers of guests pass this site looking for info before buying a new car,355 have viewed this posting so far...how many of these have now been put off buying a punto unnecessarly? Yes there has been a few issues with punto steering racks but these are getting dealt with, and quickly.A couple of people here know the whole story but saying it might give people the wrong idea & create unnessary scaremongering which is not good for anyone.
End of the day I would love a new car but like so many others doubt I ever will...perhaps that is something to think about?

Im informing people of the situation, my dealer didnt tell me there was a known fault on grande punto's, if he had of i would have probably walked away.
I dont want to argue with you but i dont think this is getting dealt with quickly....some people have expected dates of October 17th....thats a fair way away yet. My dealership couldnt even give me an expected date.
1999 people have looked at my other post upto now and i think its their decission to decide whether they want to buy a grande, its not down to my posts. Ive had some rotten luck thats all.
As for going on, im replying to peoples advice and remarks, as you do.
I dont understand what you mean by leverage?????? If you are implying that il use this site in a court case then your wrong, il just show them the Mot failure.
Forums are great for people looking to buy a car, your right BUT like i said previously to you, im not the only person on here moaning about certain aspects of owning a punto, i listed several to you yesterday.
You keep telling me that you dont work for fiat which i find VERY hard to believe given some of the posts you have written. If you do work for fiat then i can understand you being this way towards me but if you dont then i cant understand why you are standing up for a company that has had some very bad press. Not only about the build quality but the customer service.
I post here because i have the right to as do you and all the other members so why not just take a chill pill.:)

Once is enough,no need to hijack other peoples posts moaning about your car over & over again, looks like I am not the only one who has noticed this.

The 'fault' has only recently came to light. However if you knew about it you said you would have walked away?...............what about all the potential customers who have read your moaning.....you are doing exactly that scaring people away!
Again your inexperience of the motor trade shows...all new cars have problems (teething) & I can assure the the grande punto has little compared to most! I could write a long list off problems the focus had when launched & its the best selling car!

Fair dues but others have waited a long time aswell your not alone,it takes time to sort things out from the factory back to dealers.Check & make sure your dealers has VOR'd (special order request) your rack or try/phone another dealer.

I DO NOT work for Fiat I work for a dealer as I have said...one thing despite what you think of me is I do not lie...I do not get paid directly from Fiat!
I also am 'not being this way' towards you,I have had this type of 'discussion' many times on this forum so its not just you,I am not vindictive in any way shape or manner.I like to think I dont personally offend people here(If I do unwittingly then I apologise)many others will back me up on this.
You say bad press....from who? the grande punto is selling 'in bucket loads'...you cant believe all you read can you?
You mention build quality...in what way? end of the day remember you are buying a 'budget' car.As for 'customer services' are you refering to FIat customer customer services or the dealer?

Can't argue with that T.

Drove my girlfriend's new shape Fiesta and compared to my GP the trim doesn't feel as well made or as substantial as the Punto and i know which car i'd rather have an accident in! And the GP was £2k less.

Budget cars still shouldn't mean bad cars as you still expect them to work, and to be fair, it still drives and the repairs have been promised when Fiat return to work and make the parts.

6 weeks off in the summer..........maybe i am working in the wrong country!

Hey I work for Land Rover and have been thinking of getting a Grande Punto for my gf for a number of weeks, the honesty on these boards is most heartening and with what I have been used to with the modifications at LR I am not worried at all...

Tomorrow I will be testing a 1.4 Dynamic with 'her indoors' and YOU T10486 will be one of the reasons I have looked past its stunning looks and decided to delve in...

Long live LR and FIAT!!! :)
