Hi guys, does anyone know what change there is going to be in price for the grande after the 31 july? i know it is only a few days away but im just to damn curious!! :D

i suppose that is not to bad, still it isa bit odd going up rather than down..
any idea why it will be going up, i take it must be a advertising ploy. to get more sold before they do rise.

I don't know for sure, but I wonder if they're doing some tweaks to spec levels etc. The Dualogic box will come for August, so changing the specs at the same time (a brochure reprint anyway). Hopefully Fiat are increasing the spec to charge that bit extra.

The Corsa is apparantly being priced below the GP. But I would think like-for-like spec wise it's going to be a lot more expensive. From what I gathered Air-con is only standard on the top spec "Design" model. Plus there's no sporty version at launch! An Active GP has a decent spec, but Eleganza/Sporting **** on the other manufacturers!

There is going to be a price increase come the 1st August, approx £400-£600, just waiting for confirmation.

hey maz , how is it you are able to be so certain about the price changes?.. cheers for the reply guys its giving me a good idea on the changes about to happen

Because I sell Fiats for a main dealer thats why :D

There was a memo send to all dealers about a month-ish ago.

Re: sig

yeh, felt like an idiot read it just after i posted the reply.. :bang: well at least we will see what the difference is in a couple of days time... only problem now is i have just seen the Dodge Caliber. :bang:

i really should just stop looking at new cars...

Re: caliber

it is the caliber advert that i saw, but i have been searching some of the yank's websites and some of the pictures and mods they have done to them look awesome.. it is a lot bigger than the punto and the lowest range is about the same price as the top grande!! so there is a bit of compromise to be made if i do opt for it.

Lookin at the Fiat website now they have a GP video, and at the end it says that the launch price is held until July 31st.:bang: Has nobody at Fiat realised it's August? And no dualogic yet (n)

yeh, i know tell me about it... i assume the internet advertising is the same as if your selling at a dealer.. so they have to sell for the price they are offering!!! in which case there is no difference at present... anyone confirm my thinking.

yes as a guide the new grand punto sporting multijet is now £12,295 which as ive said to the salesman when test driving one yesterday is quite alot for a Fiat which in general dont seem as well built as some other manufacturers but im still well impressed and thinking of having one

anyone no of anywhere in stoke area or near offereing good deals on them? platts arent budgeing much at all, and marsdens are sticking to book which im not used to

As prices have only just changed 2 days ago youll be lucky to get a good deal anywhere at the present time, i dont see much room for manuevre or prices being budged for a few weeks at least

I had a really good experience negotiating with Platts back in June - was offered a competitive deal, though, ultimately went elsewhere as I live nowhere near... seemed to be really nice people though...

Apple my dads said basically the same as you and thinks i should wait till the start of next year to let the new car buzz go by

they do seem good we take the new motorhome there for waranty work and the service thats due soon and they seem good at least on this side of things

Matt the sales executive who i dealt with for one and half hours was very good indeed he took me on a test drive and drove it properly from the off showing me what it really can do , then pulled over and let me drive and didnt moan once i drove the car hard  going through the gears and kept chucking him through the windscreen with the overly sensitive breaks:eek: and then putting him back in his seat with the acceleration:D

BUt they or more so his manager didnt seem willing to want to do a deal of some king, they wouldnt knock money off even though as i said theyve just put money on(n) and they gave me a really stupid trade in price which he himself admitted was low:mad:

rang marsdens again today and the guy there saids if i come down at the weekend he promises he wil sort me a very good deal on one so that may be an option

all ive got all day is "no offence but isnt it a bit too pricey for what is basically a fiat punto?" which i keep thinking well they have got a point in some way :(
