Can anyone clarify for me that the GP Sporting can play mP3's from a memory stick (not an iPod) plugged in to the USB port in the glovebox?

Depends when your car was made
I have an early model that does not have blue & me (this is usually indicated by windows logo on steering controls and in the glove box if you have it)- mine does have bluetooth hands free system - with this system you can not play a memory stick but there is an adapter you can buy to connect to an ipod. The usb is for dealer plug ins but you can use it to charge up devices with usb connections.
the convergence kit(radio) without blue & me is coded as 55G

I have Blue&Me in my car, however I haven't got the windows logo on my steering wheel nor have I got a microsoft license sticker in my glove box. (Thankgod) :)

The car hasnt been delivered yet, hopefully it will support a USB memory stick as im confident it will have the windows technology.

Why thankgod?

I work in the IT industry for a global IT company, the fact that it has microsoft software in the car is bad enough, I dont want to advertise the fact that it has.
The amount of p*** taking I would get from colleagues would be a nightmare.
All the jokes would come out.
"Another way for your car to 'crash' " :bang:
