Well after a wait that felt like an eternity my gp sporting has arrived. Even the sales rep was lauughing when i passed them the keys to their alfa and said i bet you thought this day would never come.

Its a 1.4 16v in exotic red. The 1st one i was getting that had its sills crushed had the new multi spoke wheels but i was pleased to see that mine has the multijet alloys.

The blue&me system doesnt recognise my nokia n91 as a mass storage device  but it connects for bluetoooth and was a doddle to send the contacts to it.

My neighbours ipod works fine tho but im not buying one just for that.

The suspension sounds like its falling apart on anything other tthan super smooth roads but after reading these forums im aware im not alone with this and for now ill just turn the stereo up. (y)

nice one, i had a phone call from the people i ordered my car from and they said its now expected last week of august but they will wait until the next week to get the new reg! which is total of 9 weeks wait if it comes then, i do want it so much, but i still need the rest of the deosit money !

how long was your total wait?

Hi,
It was early June but mine wasnt a factory order mine was a car that was in the showroom and i was struck with a run of bad luck.
1st 1.4 sporting was dropped of the ramps and crushed its sills
2nd was a diesel sporting that i was lucky enough to find but then i got refused finance.
3rd was ordered by the garage months ago and should have arrived 7-10 days after the date the 1st one had its sill crushed but it appeared to be stuck in limbo at some fiat delivery place. I had a log book and finance/direct debit and the car was taxed but I had never seen the car!
Its worth the wait tho as they are really nice cars. I managed to dink my alloy today tho which made my blood boil :bang:
If your getting your motor from a fiat dealer dont be afraid to meither them as they dont understand the meaning of urgent! After all the problems I had they tried to put back delivery till today. :bang: But I told them if they cudnt do it yesterday then I would need to keep their courtesy car till saturday and this made them revert back to tues delivery
As far as Im aware Italy closes in August for a months holiday so if its not built yet then its more like Sept that you will see it but I hope it comes sooner than later for you. (y)

Yay apparently mine's now going through the PDI at the dealers shared works (with other brands they have) and should be ready tomorrow afternoon! Ordered it mid-May, luckily they'll put on a year plus 1 week of tax so I dont have to wait until next week :)

It's a red 1.9 Mjet sporting btw with some options. Been using my little sis' old mk2 with no aircon since May, so I CAN'T WAIT... hmmmmm climate control :p

:D i had to wait a total of a 3 days:) ......... only because the dealer had the car i wanted in the show room;)

Well I picked it up tonight and it is fantastic.

No rattles, paint defects and haven't heard any shuddering from the suspension etc. then again it's only done 35 miles now :)

Here are photos of my GP....10 days now,...abt 2000Km .....all well:slayer:
