Hi I'm new here and a new owner of a GP Dynamic 1.4 5D with MP3 option in Psychedelic Azure -which is very nice - but the birds round here see it as another bit of sky and crap all over it  . God forbid we get a drought order here - it will go unwashed for years !

But my main puzzle is looking into the front of both front wheel arches , there is a little "flap" in the plastic cowling which appears designed to open and close - but is held crudely "locked" by a little rotating clip made from the flimsiest of plastic and which looks like it will fall off within months.

Try as i might i cant see what useful purpose these clipped flaps serve?

Any ideas?

All in all - I'm very satisfied with my GP so far. Quiet - feels solid and chunky. Mpg seems to be averaging 42 at the moment - but early days for the engine ( 180 miles). Cigarette lighter does't work -but probably just a missing/dodgy fuse - Fiat can sort that out on first oil change- I don't smoke so no great loss and the kids can charge their Ipods/phones elsewhere for now !!! I'm hankering a bit too for the storage areas that my Mk 2 HLX has - but never mind - it stops the clutter accumulating....

Anyway - my first post - hopefully not my last - hope i've not broke any netiquette rules - if i have - Sorry - tell me my failings and i'll try not to repeat them.

PS Total Fiat family here GP now for me the V reg Punto 2 HLX for the wife - W reg Seicento Sporting for my daughter - all in a nice line on the drive .......

Well i suppose you could open the bonnet - open the flaps then look at the tyre treads - but easier just to turn the wheels :)

Too dark now for a pic - and probably a bit inaccessible to capture (and not sure how to post a pic anyway !) Just intrigued as to a flap in a wheel arch cowling. Seems both bizarre and not very well made either. Take a look yourself and you'll see what i mean.

Thanks for the welcome Custard Boy. (y)
