I have taken a look underneath the car and noticed some big holes that were drilled right through the protection layer of the car in the chassis. It looks like metal is shining through the sides of the hole. Ofcourse there are more big holes underneath the car but they all have their protection layer on it so it's clear they first drilled these holes and then applied the protective layer.

If you want to take a look it's on both sides of the car around the middle.

Why did FIAT drilled those holes because it looks like the chassis is not protected where these holes are at.

Yeah I know but it looks so strange, almost like they produced the chassis and came to the conclusion they forgot to put some holes.

I know what the holes are. I have looked under the FIAT Idea from a friend of mine of two years old and he had it also. I think it's from the robot street where the cars are being put together. After they produced the chassis including the protection layer (tectyl or whatever this thick black stuff is) they probably put the chassis on four pins what attaches the car to the rail in order to move it through the robot street.

I only wonder why FIAT doesn't repair these holes when the car is finished. The Idea from my friend had a little rust on it so I think it's a good idea to put some protection stuff on it. I already put some special stuff on the holes (also thick black stuff) so now it should be fine.:)
