Just to let you all know there were a few GP's at brooklands today

Courtster was on the FF stand, which got a few stares from the passers by viewing the stand, where did you get the number plate from?

There was also a few GP's been driven around, saw 2 light bluey coloured ones

Yes it was all true...... :bang: Very hungover, drove back to Birmingham to get the spare.

I'm not sure the AA can do such wonders any more, not without damage anyway, infact my mum said last night when I called her "Don't the AA have master keys for all cars" Yes of course they do mum - in 1955 :D

As for the number plates, I had them for the last car from a guy from a Smart Car forum, you can email him if you PM me and ask for the address his name is Keith Hamilton, pay by paypal and have them very quickly. Most of those "car graphics" companies do a similar thing.

I parked mine up behind the stand, wasn't sure if I could just park it up with the other cars...

I spotted several GP's and laughed at the general lack of consistency with the brochure specs.

Mine has a side curtain airbag that shouldn't be fitted without side airbags (but is!), I spotted a Dynamic without painted mirrors (brochure says these are standard) and there was an Active Sport in solid red, which is not officially available.

I was offered (I think) this red car. Dealer was shocked and confused by its presence at Avonmouth Docks!

Highlight of the show: bright orange Diablo with sports exhaust. The Zonda was nice, but a very dull silver colour.

Also now developed a thing for the new Brera - it has the same Guigiaro badges as the GP (same mirrors too by the looks of it). One of the sales team asked me if I wanted a test drive.

I said 'no thanks, I just bought a new Punto - it smells the same!'

She just looked at me funny.

No, dark red one parked up behind the stand, a little further over towards the banking.

There was another one the same colour parked up a few cars away. I thought I was going to be unique!

I found the cars used on the test hill this year very disappointing. Who let 3(!) Bravos go up for goodness sake?! One, maybe two (one of them was turbocharged), but 3?! The last one was I think a 1.6. How very, very dull.

A few years ago, anyone was allowed to have a run. Then they changed it to invites only (Basically, Auto Italia's mates) and it seems the policy has now resulted in not enough cars being prepared to go up. Must have had to ask a few people to tag along... anyone they could find.

Such a shame when there were numerous Lambos and Ferraris. I suppose it's possible that they are banned from going up after that Countach crashed a few years back.

The F355 was the only really exciting thing to go up. Man, that thing nearly split my eardrums.

There was a 147 3.7 that went up. Must have destroyed the clutch, judging by the smell.

Probably not an uncommon occurrence in that car, 400BHP through front wheels. I'm surprised it didn't go up the hill sideways!

So many stands, they all merged into one!

I decided to leave when I saw lots of people gathered around the luggage compartment of a tatty Bravo, staring at speakers, not saying anything to each other.

Just....staring.

The detomasa (sp) was good up the hill, very loud, so was the rear engined Alfa 164.

I think that, the ferrai and the detomasa (sp) were the only ones that got up in first gear.

I was looking forward to seeing the 3.7 GTA Alfa 147 go up, but it disappointed me in its performance, i think they were more interested in showing off TBH judging by the lack of control ad effort on the first run
