Anyone take anymore GP pics from the event that they want to show those of us that could make it?

Sorry, just another of mine again! With my friend giving the thumbs up to the Guigiaro badges :D

Looks great - wish I knew when mine was coming! Have you got a gallery/thread on here with more pics? Think yours is the only black Sporting I've come across..

There's a few pics kicking round the threads.

It really annoyed me on Saturday as I wanted to do a photoshoot on the banked part of the circuit, but was told by the jobsworth marshall that it was closed. Ah well, he's probably right that track can be dangerous with all those ghost cars around......

Yeah, what happened to the demonstrations on the banking?

Talking of marshalls, tuned into their radio chatter with a walkie talkie.

Knew exactly when to leave to get the best place on the hill, and when it was all over... also listened into the event director - what a pompous *sshole!

I think they really screwed up with the demonstrations and events. Up until a couple of years ago they had a demonstration circuit on the runway - that was awesome. Looks like they may be doing it again from 2007 onwards, if Mercedes let them use the circuit.

I have attempted to add a photo of my vehi-cle, as it was parked up just before we left.

I found the cars used on the test hill this year very disappointing. Who let 3(!) Bravos go up for goodness sake?! One, maybe two (one of them was turbocharged), but 3?! The last one was I think a 1.6. How very, very dull.

A few years ago, anyone was allowed to have a run. Then they changed it to invites only (Basically, Auto Italia's mates) and it seems the policy has now resulted in not enough cars being prepared to go up. Must have had to ask a few people to tag along... anyone they could find.

Such a shame when there were numerous Lambos and Ferraris. I suppose it's possible that they are banned from going up after that Countach crashed a few years back.

What was all that about the kids on the bikes going up? Were they Italian bikes? I would have took the Tipo up but didn't know that you could ask to be invited.

Only 500 ever imported - probably rarer than a lot of them Ferraris. I did see a Tipo do the hill but to be fair it was looking a bit rough, even made the Milkbottle look brand new.

The kids on bikes looked to me on first inspection, like spoilt kids.

The suspicion was confirmed when I witnessed Daddy loading them safely into the back of the Espace after the event.

I took my Tipo 16v up the hill in 2000/2001, no problems. The call went out that the hill was open and a massive selection of cars and drivers waited to go up. It was great. Quite scary though, even in something modern and powerful.

The hill was really quite dull this time, I suspect they have shot themselves in the foot by having an invite only set up, but this may have been brought about by insurance requirements, and the Countach crash a few years ago.

I miss my sedicivalvole! I sometimes dream about the noise.....

the kids bikes im not sure of but the dads bike was a classic ducati, so yes thats italian.

I believe they were invited to do it rather than being ''spoilt'' the young lad who did it was seven years old and the other was 5 but lost his bottle in the end.

Any 5 or 7 year old kid with his own motorcycle painted the same colour as his fathers is spoilt in my book!

At least it wasn't one of those mini-motos. The method of transport most favoured by the leisure-wear brigade.
