General Delayed

I ordered it about 2 wks ago, I was initially told 6 - 12wks, but I went back to sign the order form (I Initially ordered the car over the phone), and I was informed by the garage, that due to the sales figures they were expected to meet (by FIAT Auto), that they either wanted the delivery times lowered or the expected sales figures dropped.
I think you can figure out for yourselves which option Fiat Auto went for.
So was told it is now due at the start of May (just about 6wks or so).
I'm now sat twiddling my fingers in anticipation.

Sorry Bob I meant more how many weeks they told you? My dealer told me 6 weeks but on the order form it said 8 weeks. He told me that the delivery at that moment (25 Feb) was going really fast but it turns out it's going to be 8 weeks or even more. Looking on the bright side; at least the weather should be better when I get it.:D

Sorry to hear about that bob, mine's delayed by a couple of days too. But at least mine is in the UK now. Ah well could be worse - could have a 10 year old Punto 55 as a courtesy car :D

Not saying it looks better, thats for sure, just better built. Surely the 5 yeras is the other way round. The reason they can afford to do 5 year fix all is because they make 90% of everyting in the car so all replacement parts they make themselves.

Our local Citroen dealer took on Hyundai franchise but got rid after 12 months as they said firstly they didn't sell many and secondly they never went wrong and they need the repairs through the workshop....no such problem with the Citroens!

Spoke to the dealer today and im going over tomorrow to pick a mk2 punto active up to use until the 10th april......Funny thing was to start with the dealer was like "we've only got a mk1 punto 60s at the moment, sorry its not a good car!" and then he rang later in the day and said he had a better much better car to lend me a mk2 punto active......

I would have rather had the mk1 but oh well cars a car
