I wonder if anyone notice the Grande Punto in the showroom has Bridgestone tires while the cars that customers have ordered are branded Dunlop.

I am not an expert on tires, are we better off with Dunlop or doesn't matter at all?

Car factories tend to put on whatever they can get whent hey need them and are available at a good bulk price. Which means it can vary from time to time.

There are Dunlops (as fitted new) on the 307 I drive at present, wehich seem pretty good, but I can't compare them as there hasn't been anything else on the car!

Would have thought Fiat would have fitted Bridgestones what with the Ferrari F1 team being tied to Bridgestone.

I know all Ferrari road cars now come with Bridgestones.

I would think Fiat have a big-money contract with Bridgestone - but I think I'm right in saying that Bridgestone and Dunlop, as well as Firestone (whos tyres were on my punto) are all part of the same company.

Ah, well if that's true then it doesn't make a lot of sense!! Anyway I'm sure they'll be fine - personally I couldn't care less what tyres are on my car but if they're a decent brand then I'm sure they'll be good.
