Had a sneak preview of Grande Punto Dynamic today, looks even better in the metal than pics!
Sat inside and fiddled, better materials, etc etc, just better all round, cannot wait to drive it on the 11th Feb.

Yep definately has a feel of more quality(sturdy?)than the older puntos,doors dont 'clang' when closed aswell

No it 'aint. The 1.3 is 16v in both 75 and 90bhp versions; the difference with the latter is a variable-vane turbocharger (and, I'm sure, more subtle bits)

Multijet just refers to the number of injections of fuel in a combusion cycle; unijet (as in the JTD) means one injection, multijet means...erm...well...multiple

It has nothing to do with the number of intake/ exhaust valves a car has.

You seem to have sat in all of them, so may I ask what you think of the perceived quality between the Panda and the Punto? Are they similar, or is the new Punto another step up?

Seems to me, from reading reviews, that Fiat's quality improved with the new Panda and has been better with all models introduced since.

The panda is (in my opinion!) a great wee car,build quality is good with very few trouble reports.I think the majority of panda owners would agree & are not dissapointed in the car,feedback has been very positive.Obviously there are a few minor niggles(filling the washer bottle being one)and a few corners cut but for a new car,and all manufacturers have 'teething' troubles with new models,the panda stands very well.
As for the punto(188 model)it is getting outdated but still sells well which is good for those who dont like the grande punto looks as the option for the older model is still there.Obviously we will have to wait & see how the new punto gets on & if any initial problems arise......so watch this space
I think the panda is a improvement on the old punto & the punto grande a further improvement on the panda
