Hi all! I am a long time follower of this forum and now I am about to join in! and it's not my best moment, I have a 2015 Punto and it has been great. However the passenger side door, the lock only had one screw in instead of the three that should be there, so I tried contacting ebay sellers about purchasing a new screw to fit into it. While driving it would make a squeaking sound so I knew it was something I had to fix. The sellers didn't have a screw to sell so I started purchasing different sizes to see which one would fit. When I found one it just so happened that someone had keyed the length of my car, and the metal was visible which is not great on a white car! So I screw this new bolt in annoyed and I don't check if the door handle actually works, slam it shut and boom, it no longer opens.... It is in the bottom screw hole out of the three, and I can't really get to it, If I open the rear door there is a slim gap where I can just about reach. Does anyone have an idea what I can do? I have contacted a car lock mechanic but they said to take it to the dealership which I can imagine is going to be an expensive fix. I'm going to try attach a pic of the screw and how I can access it, any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi

Its identical to a GrandePunto

So there MIGHT be info on here..

I suspect youve got the fun chore of removing the door card..with a seat in the way..

Then triggering the release mechanism by means of a screwdriver..etc

Oh I see! Yeah I hope so, in terms of taking the panel off I've seen videos on youtube showing there are two screws on the side of the panel. Since the door can't open I'm not sure how I am going to be able to unscrew these
