Hi guys,
While driving yesterday i had the inadequate oil pressure message pop up, I was only a couple hundred metres from my driveway so I parked it up.
I bought an oil pressure test guage today and I've got no oil pressure reading at all.
With the switch out and engine on there is a small trickle as well as sort of spurting out sporadically.
I did an oil and filter change and nothing too noticeable in the filter however some fine metal on my magnetised sump plug, no large chunks.

Im thinking it's probably serious internal damage however any ideas or other things you guys think I could check would be great.

Thanks for any help!

Faulty oil pump for example.

But oil pressure switch is also a common fault. Remove oil sump to see the oil sieve and clean it. Could very well be engine damage.

I would check the oil pressure sensor and wiring.

Did it sound different? Do you see oil being pumped up to the top of the engine if you look through the oil filler cap or is it dry?
