After nearly 3 years of having the GP its finally got to the point of no return...at least for the owner. I got her another car and the GP is currently sat on my drive awaiting diagnosis/surgery before its moved on.
For the whole time of ownership the car will intermittently run on 3 cylinders..lumpy as. New plugs,(x2) 3 different coil packs and leads and much scratching of my head ..I have swopped the plugs around with the 'culprit' looking good...no change.

Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated...I cannot work it out..NO FAULT CODES EITHER...

1. How do you know it's running on 3 cylinders? And which three? Maybe it's something else.
2. What about fuel injectors? Are they OK?
3. Compression on cylinders? All 4 equal? Plus valve clearances.
4. If there's no errors, it can be the ECU itself. Faulty.

Its number1 cylinder..car runs with or without ht lead being connected...sparks ok too.
No idea as to the injectors...like I said its been intermittent for 3 years...My next gambit is to replace the loom and/or ECU

It's time to stop scratching your head and take it to a professional. Changing coilpack several times is just a waste of money - they don't fail that often. Probably engine's worn out or headgasket failure.
