The under bonnet parts are pressurised
Do you mean the locking filler cap .. to the tank? That just has a fluid seal

Hi, yes I mean the locking filler cap, mine doesn't lock, and I wondered if it would have an effect on the fuel system. My last car was an astra, and when I took off the filler cap you could hear the release of pressure, this car came to me with the cap not locking so I am unsure if it should do the same thing. Currently it makes no sound when you take it off.
It shouldnt effect the engine running..
What does the tank pump sound like.. how long does it run?
