Last couple of years it would occasionally 'pulse' on 40mph uphill gradients ..entry slip roads a favourite
The MOT had highlighted a poorly fitted inner boot ( shaft to tulip)
I bought a used shaft and swapped over the tripod..and boot
No long journeys.. but seemed better on its trip to the MOT station
Anyway..
Now its still noticable on occasions.. am happy to swap tripodes over ( maybe one roller has completely failed..?)
But is it definitely inner tripod..rather than outer C.V.?
ANY diagnostic tips..??
Not noticed clicking on lock.. and the pulsing is under load at 35 to 45 mph road speed
Vehicle has 'had a life'
105k.. but clouted a kerb @65k damaging the steering rack.. that side is now the suspect for the drive issue
