I'm new to the Fiat world and bought a Bravo II (198) 1.4 T-Jet.

Does the Bravo II (198) 1.4 T-Jet & Punto 1.4 T-Jet have the same engine?

I thought there was a power difference 150 in the Bravo vs 120 in the GP. Don't know if there was a 120 version of the Bravo do you?


I believe as part of that the turbo (used to be a GP power increase trick) is bigger on the 150 as well as associated software. Don't know about the engine internals, injectors etc - sorry

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will come along to add to this thread

The wiki pages for both models mention for both cars a 1,368 cc, 120 PS, 206 Nm

Besides that there is the 150 /155 PS, I think the 5 PS difference here is just caused by an other trim only

Pretty much all 1.4 Fiat T-Jet Engines are the same engines, there are differences in the engine ecu and the bits bolted onto the engine but the basic engine is the same.

What’s the reason for asking, there are important differences if for example you’re looking for a replacement engine or you’re looking for a higher performance engine like the T-jets fitted in Abarths

I have an ABS problem on the Bravo 2007 1.4 T-Jet I bought for my son. Replaced front-left sensor because cable was broken off.

Still have ABS light on as well as accompanying error messages.

I asked the question because there is more YouTube DIY video on the Punto as on Bravo II. Battled to find the oil filter and then discovered that the "normal" 1.4 and 1.4 T-Jet's oil filters don't sit at the same place.
