Hi all,

So I've been doing some searching about this, the air knob moves to the left and back to its original starting position on the right ok (does make some clicking noises throughout though and is tougher than normal) however it does not turn to the right at all.

I've been doing some reading and someone said about the cogs may need realigning however I am not sure where to find these. Do I need to take off the glovebox as the clicking sound seems to come from the passenger side footwell I just cant seem to see them.

The power selector on the air also only seems to work on position 4, this is down to a lose connection as when I fiddle with the cable for this it works on all positions temporarily until I fiddle with it again, so a permanent fix if anyone knows one would be good.

Thx

Any help appreciated.

I think this thread covers the issues:

www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto/237887-replace-dashbord-heater-controls.html

The clicking sound seems to occur when the cogs are misaligned - there are some small arrows to indicated how they should line up. It is a bit of a fiddle to get this right - and in my case they seem to quickly get misaligned again, unless I turn the knob very carefully. This has only recently occurred on a 56 reg vehicle, so I suspect something must be becoming worn out.
