Hi, Dynamic Sport 8V 1368,
The instrument dash LCD is dead( didn't like the Beast from the East....Tooo cold )I have tried to clean contacts, no luck . New LCD is £75. Looking on Ebay seems to be quit a few at sensible priced dashes but , part numbers seem to be slightly different. Number appears in two blocks, mine is 51803095 9 90271.
Some on sale have first set correct others the second. My LCD screen shows phone numbers and computer links. Im a bit confused.........can anyone throw some light on possible dash swap / numbers?
Thanks Guys.

Hi, Im afraid I had to bite the bullet on this one. The LCD screen is such a simple repair BUT the only reputable screen supplier is in Italy and they want in excess of £175 spent with them to send order to UK.
I have ended up sending the head unit to Cartronix in Waterlooville. Looks like it will be £185 plus postage , at least its guaranteed .
Some you win, some you lose................

There was a thread a couple of months ago on a similar issue, albeit without resolution (that we know of!) - https://www.fiatforum.com/linea/484414-lcd-display-panel-required-linea-t-jet-fl2014-india.html

In response to that thread, I had a look into the Fiat parts catalog and there didn't seem to be replacement LCDs available. I also did some searching on Google and came up with a couple of suppliers, and they were what I'd consider very expensive ($120 USD on AliExpress). You can buy LCDs for phones and mp3 players for next to nothing so I was surprised these were being sold at such a high cost. I suppose there is only one manufacturer and perhaps they are special in some way that's beyond my comprehension :D It would be a fun exercise to try and hack one of those cheap $5 LCDs into the instrument cluster!

On a more pragmatic note, used instrument clusters are very cheap on eBay so I'd be tempted to try swapping the whole thing over, or just take the LCD out of it.

Hi Oldmanhouse, Yes I was thinking of going down that line but the dashes with the larger screens weren't cheap and no guarantee they would work correctly .The really annoying thing is its such an easy job to do.
Have to put this one down to experience . Appreciate your thoughts, Thanks
