Dear All,

When I turn on my engine it start and give couple of jerks and then become stable. From then the engine will run smoothly without any problem. (I have attached the zip file for reference).

No lag in drive, perfect acceleration and no black/white smoke from the vehicle.

After driving continuously for couple of hours, if I stop for a while and again If I try to start again it won't start immediately and it will take some time to start like 5minutes.

Can you please provide your comments on what needs to be checked.

Thanks in advance.

How old is the clutch? Have you checked for error codes?

Pretty old mostly 2-3 years, will clutch creates this issue ?

And, there are no error codes everything is normal.

Thanks.

2-3 years isn't that old :) My GP has the original 2008 clutch that still works fine :)

A worn clutch can create such an issue. Of course, it is possible the new clutch was faulty from the factory.

But since it's fairly new, then another place to check is the ignition coils and make sure the ECU looks ok (no knives stuck on it, or any visible cracks, and no whining noise like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxN9s9XC8MU).

When was the car fully serviced the last time? Judging by the video, it's almost impossible to tell the exact cause. It's almost like Google search, you get loads of possibilities and then start changing the parts randomly. Your best option is to take it to a mechanic.

Immediately I can see a loose collar on the air inlet tube. Tighten it.

It appears to be a diesel engine. You can try to do the following things:

  • change engine air filter
  • change fuel filter
  • check for vacuum leaks
  • change pcv vent hoses
  • check error codes

On top of that, change engine oil and oil filter. I'd suspect high pressure diesel injection pump and such fuel delivery issue if hot engine did not start. Change fuel filter first. Also check glow plugs.
