can the wiring plugs or the inner contacts for them be bought anywhere?

mine are corroding to the point where the connections arent much good

will try scrap yard to see if they have any that are better than mine and snip them off with some wire to spare, but would prefer new ones

sorry no pic of the part, but if you have ever change rear buls on a GP you know the plug I mean, on end of the wiring to the light unit.

sorry, I didnt get any pics but I have hard wired one of my rear lights that was giving problems due to corroded pins in both the connector and the socket.

starting with the light circuit board, I drilled each strip that supplied each of the bulb with a 1mm bit, I soldered a wire to each hole and fed the wire through the gap near the original socket, I traced each wire to the relevant plug on the car wiring connector, snipped the connector off one wire at a time and made a soldered connection on each wire

I left enough wire on to pull the light away from the car so it can rest on the rear shelf to change bulbs, all wire connections were soldered and heat shrinked, followed by some wiring harness sheathing which was fully taped to further keep the weather out.

job done, other side will be done when that starts causing problems
