Fiat Punto 90 HP MID Display some times blank or partial display with gibberish characters.
1. Do i need to replace the Entire MID assembly ? Or
2. I can remove the MID and dismantle the display unit and change the LCD display ? . If any one of you can provide me the pointer to instruction on how to remove the MID display would be helpful.
3. Is this due to any loose contact in the wiring harness ? Few days back rats were bitten the wire and i have soldered myself with exact pins. but the MID display problem persisted before this wire connection problem.
Saw other posts linea-punto-mid-issues.13539 in this forum, where they could replace the MID unit from instrument cluster punto from 99.rpm. I can replace this MID if i could get the instruction, then i foresee a problem of mapping key values from FAS which is bit of a problem here as there are very few FASS in my place.
