As mentioned in my Newbie post, I'm resurrecting my Son's 1.4 8v from 2 years of non use https://www.fiatforum.com/newbie-central/482260-resurrection-project.html.

I've started with a look at the rear end and not found any major horrors. I'll spend the weekend giving the rear bush mountings, springs & shocks a clean up and replace the brake shoes, but otherwise things looking pretty good so far :)

Hopefully I can start on the front end next weekend ;)

I never had car which is rusty like these Fiats :) I have also Renault Fluence, 7 years old as Punto, same driving conditions, but Fluence looks like new from the bottom. And Punto was rusty like hell...so I cleaned almost whole bottom, applied anti-corrosion chemistry and then sprayed with black water resistant color

My 2013 was also better too opposite to pictures above, but overal rust was huge there almost on everything like arms, stab.bars, brakes, whole exhaust...including those strange nuts holding rear exhaust silencer cover. On Fluence is everyrhing clean, covered by dust for example, but when I clean it with rag, there's shiby black paint or shiny silver, depends on part. I had also some Fords, Megane2...but Punto is definately most rusty car I ever had. After cleaning and painting its much better now, black color is still there after 1 year
