Hello guys, I recently came across a video on youtube of a similar GP as mine (1.3 multijet 90hp) that was making an amazing turbo flutter sound (not to be confused with the "blow off valve like" sound some GPs are producing when the turbo is spooling and you let go of the accelerator). I'm talking about a genuine flutter sound supras and gtrs are producing
Although I know turbo flutter is not that good for the turbo itself and might affect the turbo's lifespan, I'm desperate to make my GP sound like that, it gets me excited!
So, after a little digging I found that disconnecting the solenoid of the recirculation valve should, in theory, make your turbo flutter. Though, doing so, will definitely make your check engine light turn on and might put your car in limp mode.
Has anyone tried making their car produce a flutter sound before? Would disconnecting the solenoid of the recirculation valve do the trick? Moreover, If I try disconnecting it and my car enters limp mode, will reconnecting it fix the problem or should I pay a mechanic a visit?
Thanks in advance!
There is a file attached showing you the diagram of the solenoid valve if that helps,
