Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2007 fiat punto with a couple issues, my main problem with it is the clock spring appears faulty as no buttons or horn work and there is an airbag light. I’ve been looking around and can’t find a clock spring on its own without buying all of the indicator stalk and shroud? Does anyone know how I might find just the spring?

Hi

Have you tried diagnosis using multi ecu scan software yet?

You need to talk to the ecus first to find out why the warning light is on before changing parts.

Good luck

The switch unit is a complete assembled unit, so finding a separate clockspring is unlikely.

Have a look at the Valeo catalogue here: https://www.valeoservice.co.uk/en-uk/catalogs?lob=All&page=0
Once you've opened the catalogue, page 8 explains that the clockspring is not available separately. Page 23 will hopefully allow you to identify the part number you need. Then stick that into Google and see what comes up.

A used one may be a false economy, unless you can be sure of it being low mileage, although low miles in an older car may relate to more steering and switch use.

The mid range one is around £120-£130. Mister Auto, Autodoc, onlinecar parts uk (this I believe is autodoc under a different banner) all show these.
