Hi,

Before I remapped the car I had a boost spike in lower rpm and inconsistent power. Also had some little hesitations when throttling. After mapping all of this is absolutely worse.

It turns out that my turbo housing or manifold has a crack (or multiple). With warm while my problems are absolutely worse.

So now I've bought a second hand VL38 from a Abarth 595, a brandnew exhaust housing and the newer type manifold which has been modified by Fiat and shouldn't crack that easy anymore.

Now I'm wondering what's all involved with removing the turbo and manifold.

I've already removed the heatshields from the wastegate and turbo and they were pretty easy to remove (after some wd40). I did this to check if the wastegate is adjustable, but it isn't.

I hope there's a how to somewhere.

Do I also need to drain oil, or just be careful when removing the oil lines?
