Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 1.4 16v Starjet engine (from a GP) with a variator on the inlet cam which I'm going to be putting into my Fiat Seicento.
It has some problems with the head and since 1.4 16v heads are a bit rare in my area the cheapest option would be to purchase a 1.2 16v head to fit (maybe even the mk1 with hotter cams).
My question is if the head would fit without any modifications? From what I read, in a normal 1.4 16v engine it would fit without any problems but I am unsure since engines with a variator might have some differences.

I would be very grateful for any advice on this in case anyone has more information.

Thank you!

The difference in bore size is very minimal (70.8mm vs 72mm) and from what I've read a lot of people run a 1.4 bottom end with 1.2 top end with no problems (older stilo 1.4 bottom ends). I'm just unsure if anything has changed with the newer starjet blocks and and if they have differently designed oil galleries.
