I There,
got a 1.3 85hp Mjet that has been sitting there for 3 - 4 weeks.
When I wanted to get out with it yesterday, the driver door opened with the remote, the fuel pump primed, the glow plugs fired on, but the starter ran very slow motion so the engine did not start: flat battery.
Hooked my battery charger on it for the afternoon and the car started fine after about 4 hours charge. Then I went for my journey (groceries collect), about 15 km without any major issue. I just noticed a sensible lack of power when I was almost arrived at destination (± 12km); no engine light though ! Didn't locked the doors since groceries were stored at a friend's garage.
Came the time to load the trunk, but the hatch wouldn't respond to the remote, nor did it to the dashboard button !! Tryed to lock the doors (window down, you never know) with the remote: didn't work neither !!
FIX: disconnected the battery (thanks to FIAT designer for the quick hand-fit clamp), waited 15' (time for a brew) and reconected it: all's working fine !!!
Hope this might help somebody facing the same embarrassing situation ...
BRs, Bernie
