Hi again all,

Fiat Grande Punto Sporting 1.4 16v 2007

I am not too experienced in reading the ePer and how up todate the version I have is. However, judging from what I could find the oil should be Selenia K, 5W-40 with a capacity of 2.9 litres and for coolant Paraflu Up (Cuna NC 596-16-ASTM D 3306 (not sure what this means)) and capacity here is 5.27 litres.

Both the oil and coolant suggested seem to be from brand Petronas but I cant find it anywhere near me so how important is it that I use this. I mean there must be hundreds of 5W-40 oils, will they all work (try to find good quality of course). Also I have heard coolants come in green or pink (or close enogh) but cant figure out from the ePer what one the suggested Paraflu Up is.

If anyone is experienced with the ePer and could double check for me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again guys

Come on, don't be so lazy.
Find a user's (owner's) manual (there will be all fluids listed - just buy what they recommend).
Where to find it? In the Internet...
But read carefully, simple "5W40" is not enough, other codes are there too. Depends what year, emissions Euro4/5.
And coolant is pink, (mono)etylene glycol based - most important info. You can use any brand.
Forum is NOT a "search engine" (use Google for such simple questions or "problems"), don't bother people here.

No need to be grumpy GrandePunto PL haha. I suspect you are the lazy one recommending me to read the owner's manual when my post clearly state I did. I just had some questions to be sure. I think 99% of the people on the forum are happy to help inexperienced members, and if you are not then feel free to not reply and be terribly bothered. Hope you have a good day and that you are not too traumatised by my post :)

And the specs sheet for coolant... Rather old specs so almost any glycol based coolant would be ok (chek anyway !)

BRs, Bernie

Regarding oil, the handbook I have gives some details about the right oil:

SAE 5W-40 ACEA C3
petrol engines
grade synthetic base lubricant.
FIAT 9.55535-S2 certification.
As well as the 5W-40 part, make sure your selected oil also meets the other specifications "ACEA C3" and "FIAT 9.55535-S2"

This is what I use: https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/castrol-magnatec-c3-engine-oil-5w-40-4ltr-521772871. If it meets the right spec, I wouldn't worry about which brands you get. I've never seen Selenia for sale anywhere near me.

As for coolant, I didn't pay much attention to spec and just bought "red" antifreeze. Perhaps next time I'll buy as per the specs, which are:

Inhibited mono ethylene glycol-based antifreeze
protection, red, with organic formulation.
Passes CUNA NC 956-16, ASTM D 3306 specifications.
FIAT 9.55523 certification

Double check your manual, but I imagine it should be the same as the stuff I quoted above.
