Well after a few weeks of no problems, although I have been really carefully to use the indicators by pressing the stalk further down then on the end its started again, very slightly & occasionally when just when the indicators would self click off. Then today I had a tail light fail on me & suddenly the dipped headlights would start flicking & cutting out all together (without touching the stalk) until the lights were turned off & back on again without.

Got home parked up & then 15min later drove to the shop and back, no problem.

When I replace the blown combined tail & brake light tomorrow I am going to remove both single tail light bulbs on either side just to see as thats how I bought the car & it didn't have this problem at the time. - I will post the result in case it helps anyone else

Well worth a try but not sure its made a difference, although even before taking out the single tail light bulbs it was happening so intermittent I had gone a few weeks all ok anyway.

Finally bit the bullet so to speak & booked in to a garage to have the indicator stalk replaced this coming Friday, better safe the sorry.
