i am new to the forum. I joined in order to learn more about my Fiat Punto 2011 EVO.
I just got the car and started fiddling with it.
Today i fitted a keyless entry system and i got a small issue.
The keyless entry system is a cheap ebay one with three buttons. Lock - Unlock - Boot.
after swearing several times for the bloody wiring i managed to get the system partially fitted.
I got doors to lock and unlock. I didn't do the hazard light yet as i want to put a siren instead to chirp when i lock and unlock the car.
My Issue is.
When i unlock the car with the key, i can press the boot release button on the dash and on the fob to open the boot door.
if i unlock the car from the fob, the dash button and the fob button to open the boot doesn't work. i have to put the key on ignition in order for the boot to open either from the dash or the fob.
as far as i understand the car powers the boot release button when i use the key to unlock it but will not when i use just the fob.
any ideas?
