are there many on here that have the 1.3 diesel GP?

I am wondering if my fuel consumption is bad, I tend to just put in £20 each time and am getting about 160 miles from it

sorry, I dont know how to work it out on a technical level as maths isnt my thing, if I set my Trip to 0 each time I put fuel in, my Average MPG is usually showing as around 50.

I think I was expecting better

I dont tend to thrash it, most of my motoring is motorway but I do a twice per week trip to work over a hilly region of B roads of around 12miles each way, very little traffic.

the fuel computer seems a bit off sometimes, although this one [90] has the 6 gears it seems to do better mpg on the motorway in 5th that it does in 6th

so anyone else out there with either the 75 or the 90? how does yours do on fuel?

Here's what I got from my 90 mjt after 10 years of receipts collection, car had now 115.000 kM... (did the math for you ;-)

Cheers, Bernie

Been on a big drive today, just for the hell of it

59mpg.

thats based on a trip of 285 miles, which was over big hills and 80mph on motorways so it certainly wasnt an economy drive, my route was wilmslow-llanwrst-blaenau ffest-carno-newtown-welshpool-oswestry-wrexham-wilmslow

the car "feels" like its using a lot of fuel but obviously it isnt given my above trip, I reset the Trip B ages ago to be a long term monitor and that is at 57mpg

I think the problem is the fuel gauge, its really big/has a broad range of travel compared with my previous cars so when fuel goes down a little, the gauge moves a lot, giving the impression that its thirsty.

well thats how I can best describe it

Today my fuel light came on so I diverted via Tesco.. their fuel was cheap.. so I put in more than normal @£19

On my return journey...

I noted the need showed almost half full..
But range was only 220 ( should be nearer 400..)

Over the next 10 mins it crept up past 250, 330.
To 390 when I parked up :)

57mpg is fair..its all down to journey type..

Luckily I dont spend long shunting in traffic :)

Hi Charlie,

the range computation is based on the near late / current consumption and of course the fuel that's in the tank; that's why it rose-up while you were driving after tanking and launch.
