Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

Hey Guy

Im hoping someone can help. Ive been told about Elearn / Eper (not sure if they are same thing) On the forum a few times now to help with fixing my car.

I wanted to know:

1) Can I get a version that is specifically for fixing the GP 1.4 TJET , or is it just a grande punto overall sort of like a Haynes manual which doesn't cover the Tjet model.

2) If you can get specifically TJET model software - How do i go about getting this, i am not Mr computer savvy and I have been to downloads and thought i had it at one point as I now have an Elearn icon on my desktop but when i press it, it just does a no go pop up ( see pic) But again i have no idea if this was going to cover Tjet anyway.

Any help would be great - looking to change my thermostat / flush my heater matrix and would love some guidance.

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

eLearn is like an electronic Haynes manual and is model specific, so a Grande Punto one should cover all versions including T-Jet.
Depending where you got your copy from may explain how to make it work, but normally you have to burn it to CD (or mount the CD image as a virtual CD-ROM drive, I know a bit too tech savvy maybe!), then install it, but you still need to have the CD in your PC (or virtual CD mounted) to be able to run it.
ePer is FIAT's parts catalogue and covers all variants of all vehicles. An old (2006) version is available through the forum (http://eper.fiatforum.com/), newer versions can be found online.

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

You should be able to find the Grande Punto version in the Downloads section of the forum, I think @Davren wrote a guide about how to install and run the various eLearns which we have on here. Alternatively, if you're struggling, you may be able to find a pre-burned CD on ebay.

If you have windows 10 you can just right click the iso file and it gives you an option to mount the file without needed I 3rd party software
You can then access it like a CD

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

Here's the cook book:

- download the ISO file
- locate that file and right-click on it, choose the top option (Mount)
- you have now a "new" (virtual) CD drive that contains a bunch of files/directories
- double-click the "setup" or "install" file, this will install the software part on your computer
- once done, click on the program icon, select the language and the model you want

In your case, you already have the icon, that means that the software has already been installed. The error message is because the software doesn't find the necessary files it needs to execute properly; That is because the virtual CD is not there anymore: it has been unmounted OR has been assigned a different letter. To be sure, un-install the software using the configuration panel (or appwiz.cpl in the run window), mount the ISO file and re-do a fresh install. Next time you have to run eLearn, check first that the virtual CD is still there. Alternatively you could burn the ISO file to a CD (or DVD) but similarly you will need it to run the software.

BRs, Bernie

Hey guys thanks for input from all of you and being patient. What's easy for some isn't always easy for others. I've done a video showing you where I have the problem as I do not see ISO files just RAR. But clearly shows where I just hit a brick wall.

Download all 8 parts into the same folder, then point an unzip program such as WinRar or WinZip at part 1, then all 8 parts will unzip into one iso file.

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

Hey guys some Good news and poss bad news. So I believe I have done it (see pic). But the software doesn't seem to cover the 1.4 TJET model? Can anyone confirm if this is correct or have I gone wrong. Also side question the sometimes it says R.R on the info listings (see 2nd pic). Can anyone tell me what this means.

I'm trying to find specifically information on changing the 1.4 TJET thermostat as need to replace upper hose (slight leak where they join) so thought will change that also due to it being 10 year old and me.putting a flush solution in the system.

Thanks.Click image for larger version

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

Would seem from your image that the GP eLEARN we have in the downloads section doesn't specifically cover the 1.4 TJET model.

R.R and R/R = Remove/Replace.

Re: Elearn / Eper - For Grande Punto TJET

There's a version of eLearn online that covers the 1.4 T-Jet here:

http://4cardata.info/elearn/199/2/199000000/199000005

(Thanks to @oldmanhouse for posting the link originally in this thread).

The R + R for the thermostat is described here:

Hey Pickwick,

I've noticed that in the explaining procedure parts it has links highlighted to other steps of the job which i assume are part of the job. it has Op. next to the link? is this to be short for 'Optional'?
