Hello , I have a problem with my car Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 .
I would like to say that I changed the spark plugs and spark gables ,i clean throttle body ( i think electronic part from throttle body work , because I removed the sensor socket and the difference was visible ) . I went to a car service for a scanner diagnosis and they found nothing, no error! .
I cleaned all sensors , but the problem still persists .

The car start only when someone push the car . After the engine warms up , i can start the car without pushing but i need to press acceleration pedal for 3 - 7 times to work , but after some time at traffic lights or at idle speed the engine stops and i need again to press acceleration pedal like a crazy to start again . I will put a video .

Thank you guys .

Was it ok before you did the service work?..Am I correct in saying that it wont start and idle?..

For these problems I was at the service , but they told me i need to change more parts because they don't know sure what is wrong , they told me the price can exceed 1000 Euro , but it's too expensive for me.

When the engine is cold , need someone to push the car to start . When the engine warms up starts without pushing but i need to press the accelerator pedal 5, 6 times.
Idle = don't stop if i start the car and i don't press the accelerator pedal , if i press the accelerator pedal after start engine stops .
.

sounds like your throttle body is playing up

I cleaned the throttle body, but still the same. When I remove the sensor plug from the throttle body, the car does not accelerate. Is this normal?

1. There was a question: was your car working 100% properly before you made this DIY maintenance?

2. Have you seen this guide: https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-pu...ugs-leads-coils-check-replacement-1-4-8v.html ?

3. Obviously you did something wrong (I know, it's very offensive statement here - click "Dislike" if it hurts you).
What have you done to the throttle? Word "cleaning" is not precise description. Be exact. And don't lie.

For example, I disassembled mine and it's fine after cleaning (mostly outside, there's not much to do inside).

4. Other option. You did nothing "wrong", something else failed (some other sensors like MAP, TDC sensor, gas pedal) by coincidence.
That's why you should buy a diagnostic interface (like ELM327), and read the error codes yourself...

Hi, from the video I'd say the engine is missing fuel / fuel ratio is too lean. As the starter runs, a lot of current is drawn from the battery and the voltage drops, which could explain why the fuel ratio is wrong if combined with a faulty temperature or fuel pressure sensor for example...
Would your engine cold start if battery jumped to another (engine running) car ?

The throttle body mainly consist of a butterly (like in the old carbs) actuated by an electric motor driven by the ECU. The butterfly controls the air flow to the engine and it's position is fed-back to the ECU by a potentiometer. If disconnected the engine won't accelerate and stay iddling (or even stops if ECU dislikes it...)

There are a lot of sensors that can be measured with MES and it is certainly the best tool you could purchase to diagnose your car as a DIYer, you could process by elimination, ruling out fuel pressure for example...

BRs, Bernie
