Hey all,

Looking for advice on how to squeeze a little more (safely) out of a 1.3 75hp Multijet.

Would a K&N filter be a good start? I've seen plugin chips that apparently increase the power output to 90BHP but not sure if this would be a good idea or if it'd even work.

Cheers

£300 on a remap, will get you near 100hp possibly more, and will actually work,

K&N will do nothing in a small diesel with a turbo because it’s already getting plenty of air from the turbo and adding air is not how diesels work.

Internet mod chips are nonsense, far better to pay for a proper remap.

This exactly
Those plug in chips can't do anything useful for the actual performance usually trick the temperature sensor so it overfuels the engine
Yes you get more power but it can cause damage especially on a dpf equipped engine as the excess fuel with clog the filter quicker

Cheers lads

I contacted a place that does remaps and they said a stage 1 can give up to 100bhp

Would this not be too much for the little 1.3 block?
