Ok still getting the occasional stater not engaging grinding sound every so often it’s random and don’t know when it’s going to happen. All earths checked, new starter motor, new flywheel, bigger battery fitted and alternator checked ok. Need exhaust changing so I am going to change starter motor again for a hitachi one which I have been told is the right one (second hand) for this car. If this doesn’t work I’m off to jump off the nearest bridge ???
