Hi All,

Figured i'd give a forum a go to try and diagnose what the hell is up with my car.

Overall it drives OK, but sometimes when i'm on my way home from work, i can hear something squeaking towards the rear.

This gets worse when on the motorway, as it goes from a squeaking to a vicious knocking if i even think of looking at 70 mph.

Personally, i think that it is either a wheel balance issue or a suspension issue, but i ain't a mechanic.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

So is it squeaking or knocking? The best is to record that sound... ;-)

Any vibrations?..Is the exhaust making contact with the car anywhere?

Could be the shock mounts, or worn bushes maybe or as above,

Heat shield?

Could be a number of things! At best educated guesses. Actually getting under the car may show something up. A passenger in the back seat with the window open may be fruitful.
