General lumpy tickover on a petrol GP..

Sorry I thought Id explained the stuation...The car is not mine and is in constant use,by my friend, going backwards and forwards to hospital whilst her farther is 'in'.
As soon as life returns to a relative 'normal' place, and she calms down enough to let me take at look at her car Im not in a position to do anything atm.

Hi Nick, been through the translator as well (English's not my native language). So to avoid any confusion, please describe once again the situation...

"lumpy tickover": which is true?

- doesn't start well, need to crank it several times before it starts.
- idling is not stable, the engine "jerks" like it had 3 legs only.
- doesn't ramp-up well, kind of "hesitate" when throttling-up (has 'holes').

- What had you done initially on this car and why?
- Were there similar symptoms?
- What fixed them at that time?

- Once you'll get your hands on, would you MES it?
- On a 1-10 scale, what are your skills in mechanics (practice)?
- Same question about theory.

Sorry for all the questions, but the clearer it is, the easier the answers...

Cheers, Bernie
